Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson, also known as Katy Perry, is an American singer, songwriter, and television judge. She used to sing in the church during her childhood days, and then she pursued a career in gospel music. Katy rose to fame in 2008 with her second album, One of the Boys, and then had massive hits like “I kissed a girl,” “Teenage Dream,” and “Firework.”. She is one of the  ’world’s best-selling music artists, has sold over 143 million records worldwide. Perry is overrated because her voice is unique and suitable only for rock songs. The main problem with Perry is that she dances and moves a lot, which makes her less concentrated on her singing.

Ozzy Osbourne

John Michael Osbourne, also called “Ozzy,” is an English singer, songwriter, and television personality. He rose to fame in the 1970s as the lead vocalist of the heavy metal band Black Sabbath” where he adopted the nickname “Prince of darkness.” He was fired from the band due to alcohol and drug problem in 1979. Then, he went to have a successful solo career. Ozzy has a unique voice, a high range, and a good melody, but he is overrated as a musician. Ozzy is very decisive in the way he phrases his song interpretations. No one has ever called Ozzy the best singer.

Camila Cabello

Karla Camila Cabello Estrabao is an American singer and songwriter. She rose to prominence in the girl group Fifth Harmony formed on the X factor USA in 2012. Her first studio album, Camila, made it to first place on the Billboard 200 chart. Although she is talented, people overrate her. She writes most of her songs, and people are a little biased as she left the group and became successful. Cabello has amassed billions of streams on music platforms. According to the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry, Havana” has become the best-selling digital single of 2018.

Axl Rose

William Bruce Rose Jr., professionally Axl Rose, is an American musician, singer, and songwriter. He is best known as the lead vocalist and lyricist of the hard rock band Guns N Roses. Although Rose is named one of the best singers, his music is pretty standard. He is not a classically trained singer in some of his live performances. Some of his listeners say that his voice is annoying. Strangely, Guns N Roses has become the most overrated band in the history of popular music. He disappeared for several years as the band got disintegrated due to personal and musical differences.

Britney Spears

Britney Jean Spears is an American singer, songwriter, and dancer. She is referred to as the Princess of PopHer first two studio albums, “Baby, One More Time” and “Oops! I did it again,” were successful, and it was the best-selling albums of all time. Forbes has reported Spears as the highest-paid musician of 2002 and 2012. She has also appeared as a contestant on the popular television show “Star Search” and cast in several commercials. There is nothing unique in her songs as others can easily sing it. Britney has been called “overrated” as her voice isn’t appealing. She is no longer ‘trending’ because her music is overplayed and gets annoying.

Dave Matthews

David John Matthews is an American singer, songwriter, musician, and actor. He is best known as the lead vocalist, guitarist for the Dave Matthews Band. In addition to music, Matthews has had good multiple acting roles. He has done various solo performances, which have created records. He is a gifted musician but an underrated songwriter. Matthews can do more, but there is no particular reason to hate the man and his band. He used to focus more on songwriting and performances with the Dave Matthews Band from 1990 to 2003. He has also won two Grammy Awards, one with the Matthews Band and another for Best Male Rock Vocal Performance for his solo album.

Rihanna

Robyn Rihanna Fenty is a Barbadian singer, actress, and businesswoman. She soon got recognized by her first two studio albums, “Music of the Sun’’ and “A Girl Like Me,’’ influenced by Caribean music. No doubt, she is a dynamite performer and brings high levels of sexuality to her songs and concerts. Rihanna is one of the best-selling music artists of all time, with 250 million records worldwide sales. Rihanna has ranked among the top 10 highest-paid celebrities in 2012 and 2014 by Forbes. She has also ventured into acting, appearing in Battleship, Home, ’Ocean’s Eight, etc. Some people call her an overrated singer with all these achievements, and some say she still has a good voice.

Lou Reed

Lewis Allan Reed was an American musician, singer, songwriter, and poet. He played guitarist and principal songwriter for ‘The Velvet Underground’ rock band and had a solo career for five decades. Reed released twenty solo studio albums after leaving the band ‘The Velvet Underground’, which was not a commercial success during its existence. Reed has his fan base, and there are times when he used to read poetry rather than explore his skills as a musician. Although Reed is good at singing and a fantastic guitarist, there are times when his music hasn’t touched people’s hearts. He died of liver disease in 2013.

Avril Ramona Lavigne is a Canadian singer, songwriter, and actress. Her debut studio album ‘Let Go’ is the best-selling album by a Canadian artist in the 21^st century. ’Avril’s second album ‘Under My Skin,’ is the first album to reach the Billboard 200 chart in the U.S. Nowadays, her fans are tired of her shaky voice and unmusical performances. Her self-titled album sold only 650,000 copies worldwide, which is low compared to all her other albums. Apart from her music career, she has voiced Heather, ’’Virginia’s opossum, in the animated movie  Over the Hedge and started her career by acting in the film Fast Food Nation.”

Liam Gallagher

William John Paul Gallagher is an English singer and songwriter. He rose to fame in  ’Oasis’s rock band as the lead singer and frontman from 1991 to 2009. His songs sounded like they had been forced or pushed out. Gallagher formed his band, The Rain, which later became Oasis. They released the first album, ‘Definitely Maybe’ was a commercial success. He began his solo career in the 2017 solo albums you Werewhich became a commercial success topped the U.K. albums chart. Gallagher has his singing style, but music lovers feel that his singing is very poor. It might be due to his intake of more drugs and destructive behavior.

Selena Gomez

Selena Marie Gomez is an American singer and actress. She rose to fame as “Alex Russo’’ in the Disney television series  “Wizards of Waverly Place” (2007-2012). Her albums, which she released from her former band Selena Gomez & The Scene, have reached the top ten U.S. Billboard 200 certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America. Gomez has a good voice, but her vocals are not suitable for a professional singer. Her albums have reached the #1 spot in the U.S. Her fans feel that her voice sounds autotuned rather than natural. Her fans love her to see more of her acting skills rather than a Pop singer.

Adam Levine

Adam Noah Levine is an American musician, songwriter, singer, and actor. Levine started his career as the lead vocalist and guitarist for the band “Kara’s Flowers” which later reformed as Maroon 5 because of its failure for their only album, “The Fourth World. They released the first album, Songs About Jane” a platinum record in the U.S. ” Adam’s voice is the same for every track, which sounds nasty and gets irritating sometimes after hearing many of his songs. Many of his fans are annoyed as his voice has not matured after many decades. Adam served as a coach on NBC’s reality talent show, The Voice” from 2011 to 2019.

Janet Damita Jo Jackson is an American singer, songwriter, actress, and dancer. She rose to prominence for her MTV choreography, breaking gender and racial barrier in the process. Lyrical content based on social issues established her reputation as a role model for young people. She became a pop icon after releasing her albums, “Control” and ‘Rhythm Nation 1814’’. Some fans think Janet is an average singer, but all her albums have reached 100 million worldwide. Janet became an R&B princess when her self-titled album had released in 1982. Her acting career started with a variety of television series, The Jacksons, in 1976.

Jon Bon Jovi

John Francis Bongiovi Jr., professionally known as Jon Bon Jovi, is an American singer, songwriter, philanthropist, and actor. He was the founder of the rock band “‘Bon Jovi’ in 1983, in which he has released 15 studio albums. Jovi’s acting career started with the films ”Moonlight’’ and “Valentino.’’ People awarded him the title Sexiest Rock Star” in 2000. Still, his music lovers expect more from him as they feel the voice does not resonate very well with the rest of the band. Nowadays, his voice seems exhausted and uncomfortable in singing. Even his band’s live show cannot hide their deficiencies.

Miley Cyrus

Miley Ray Cyrus is an American singer, songwriter, and actress. She is well known for her croaky voice, and her music has incorporated many styles and genres. Her fans feel she is an average singer. She emerged as a teen idol, portraying the Disney Channel television series “Hannah Montana.” The problem with Miley is that her music does not suit her voice. Her personal life, public image, and performance have often been controversial and widely covered by the media. She is a successful child actor turned singer. Cyrus has made appearances in the animated film  The Bolt.”

Bono

Paul David Hewson, professionally known as Bono, is an Irish singer, songwriter, philanthropist, and businessman. He is the lead vocalist and primarily lyricist of the rock band U2. He has been the frontman of his band through his expressive voice and gestures. Bono’s lyrics frequently include social and political themes. At one point, he played a significant player in the music business, but, he is overrated as he has not reached today’s generation. Many of the youth today do not even know about Bono. Apart from his music, Bono is an activist for social justice causes through his band U2 and personally.

Taylor Swift

Taylor Alison Swift is an American singer and songwriter. She is the biggest pop star of this era and has received widespread media coverage and critical praise. Taylor is good at writing good lyrics which fit the music. Taylor Swift is known for writing break-up music. Nowadays, her quality of music is booming in the Pop music industry, but she seems to have lost her vocal edge in the process. However, she has gradually improved and successfully switched genres from Country to Pop. But, her music haters have to acknowledge that her concerts are jam-packed. She has sold over 200 million records worldwide and is one of the best-selling music artists.

Johnny Rotten

John Joseph Lydon, professionally known as Johnny Rotten, is an English-born singer and songwriter. He is the lead singer in the late 1970s British punk band, the Sex Pistols.” He has released solo albums from this band, including Anarchy in the U.K., Pretty Vacant, and Holidays in the Sun. Lydon’s fans called him overrated as there were no definable musical skills. The band  Sex Pistols was scandalized more on the media because of their controversial lyrics and disrepute. The band was regarded as one of the most influential acts in the history of popular music. Once the Sex Pistols were disbanded, John found Public Image Ltd, the first post-rock group.

Lady Gaga

Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, professionally known as Lady Gaga, is an American singer, songwriter, and actress. She started performing as a teenager and is known for her image reinventions and musical versatility. Gaga music sold over 124 million records as of 2014 and is one of the best-selling music artists in the world. Her fans say she is very talented but relies on gimmicks. She is more of a performer than a musician. Gaga’s music is more of catchy pop songs that anybody can write. Her voice is feeble, but her overall artistic quality is based on clothes, make-up, and hairpieces.

Madonna

Madonna Louise Ciccone is an American singer, songwriter, and actress. She is one of the influential figures in popular culture and is also referred to as the Queen of Pop.” Madonna has built a gigantic profile based upon perception and fashion rather than vocal ability. She has had a ridiculously lucrative career as an interpreter and has tremendous success in acting and fashion. Her singing skills are not so good as there is no distinct style. She strives to create a distinctive look to complement and cover her lack of vocal ability. She rose to solo stardom with her debut studio album, Madonna.”
